Expat Living in Panama

Moving to a new town or state can be very stressful. You have to choose the house that’s right for you and your family, make sure that the neighborhood you choose suits your tastes and your finances, etc. But once you get “there” and settle down, you can focus on the house of your dreams, and all the stress becomes a distant memory.

But what happens if you’re not moving to a different city or state? What if you’re moving to a different country altogether?

Questions and Concerns

Moving to a different country can seem very daunting. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the idea of moving to a completely different country and culture. “Where will the kids go to school?” people wonder. “What will my bills be like?” they cry. “Will I still be able to eat my favorite foods?” they shudder.

I’m here to tell you that, aside from a few small differences, becoming an expat is not that different from moving anywhere else! Thanks to the age we live in now, the world has never been more connected. Most of the concerns people have are easily addressed.

Learn from Liz

Don’t just take my word for it!  Hear what my friend and partner, Liz, has tp say. Liz has lived the expat life in Panama with her children for about six years now, and she works with one of our preferred builders here. In this video, she talks about some of her favorite things about Panama, her adjustment to living in the country, and some of the excellent opportunities available here. I’m sure her perspective will shine a light on most of the concerns you may have about expat-living in Panama. Check it out below!
